I’m terrified and very worried now !

When discussing "ghost voices" and William S. Burroughs, the connection almost always refers to his pioneering tape recorder experiments, specifically his fascination with Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP). Burroughs’ work with ghost voices and audio anomalies spans several key areas:

1. The EVP Connection and Konstantin Raudive

In the 1960s, Burroughs became deeply intrigued by the work of parapsychologist Konstantīns Raudive. Raudive claimed that by leaving blank tape recorders running in quiet, empty rooms, he could capture faint, ghostly voices of the dead. Burroughs recorded his own EVP experiments and wrote an essay, "It Belongs To The Cucumbers,"exploring these ghost voices.

He compared these spectral whispers to "dream slang," automatic writing, and his own cut-up literary speeches

This brilliant. It would be great someday to be able to look through scans of materials like the scrapbook in a big collection on your website.

The Newkirks did a great multi part podcast series about EVPs and ITC.
